Our very own Laura Banfield rode the ladies Rás back in September as part of the Women's Cycling team. Showing that hard work and training pays off, Laura secured 5th county rider for herself. With 6 stages to complete, including a TT and a lot of QOM hills, the race was a tough one with a route which anyone would fear. In the final few stages, Laura saw herself in a battle for 5th county rider with an Orwell rider and managed to secure the placing by some 3 minutes, finishing 28th overall. In the county competition, the team cleaned up taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place. Click into each picture for a larger view. The team, just before the last stage.
