Meeting the Muse: Poetry Writing Workshop --Hands-on presentation highlights three major forms of poetry: narrative (tells a story), lyric (praises or analyzes a person, place or object) and dramatic (emphasizes character and performance elements). By using personal preferences, memories and visuals, workshop participants create a series of short, new poems.
Creative Writing Workshop--This popular, general
workshop appeals to writers at any skill level, from the beginner to the more advanced. Participants get a creative writing overview and hands-on opportunity to experiment and dabble with fiction, essay, poetry, dramatic dialogue, journalism, or such forms as screenwriting scenes and even song lyrics. They leave the workshop with short, finished pieces and others to develop at home.

Writing Workshops for Children and Young People--Writing workshops for children of all ages. Recommended age groups: Middle school 4th & 5th graders or Junior High 6th, 7th & 8th graders. Younger children create poems and images based on "magic" postcards, five senses, colors and changing seasons. Older children discover ways to get new writing ideas using memories, unusual situations, and spotting a character in a crowd. All learn the difference between "telling" and "showing."
