Congratulations to Jack Barker who became the North West Region Junior Champion for both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke at the recent NW Region Championships in Manchester. He also gained the Junior silver medal in the 200m breaststroke. In the both 50m and 100m Breast, Jack finished in overall 4th place (all ages) but won the Junior Gold medals with personal best times of 31.73 (50m) and 1:07:82 (100m). Jack also improved on his 50m time by achieving a 50m split of 31.45 in his 100m swim! In the 200m breaststroke, Jack won the Junior Silver medal, finishing in a time of 2:32.99, only a fraction of a second off his personal best time. A remarkable achievement Jack....Well Done! Also competing in the North West Championships were Carla McWilliams (50m back and 200m back) and Jack Kenwright (50m free, 100m free, 50m fly, 100m fly, 50m back and 100m back). Both swam exceptionally well, with Carla achieving a personal best time in 50m back and Jack gaining pb's in 5 out of his 6 swims. Well done both!
