Sign up for your volunteer shift

Sweet Pea CSA is an all-volunteer organization, which means that all members are expected to volunteer their time at distributions to ensure that the CSA can operate.  A site manager will be on hand each week to train volunteers and help with set up and clean up. Volunteering is a great way to meet other CSA members and learn more about the produce.

Each CSA member will need to volunteer for 2 shifts during the 2010 season. All sign-ups are done online, just click the link below!
Thank you!

Click here to access the volunteer sign-up list.  A new window will open containing the document where you will sign up.

  1. Locate a time slot that works for you and is highlighted in green.
  2. Click on the green space, type your name and press enter.  You can use your first name and last initial if you don't wish to write your full name.  Do NOT delete another member's name and replace it with yours.
  3. The green space should change to white and your name will appear in the time slot.
  4. Make a note to yourself so that you remember the day for which you signed up.  You can also always come back to the list to check.
  5. Click on "File" in the upper left-hand corner.  Select "Save and Close."

Changing your shift

Although it is important that all CSA members make every effort to volunteering during the shifts for which they signed up, sometimes things come up and you may need to change your shift.  Please know that the CSA relies on all members to volunteer to ensure that distributions can occur, so please keep this in mind and use your best judgment when changing your shift.  It is difficult for the CSA to function if members do not take the volunteer commitment seriously.

You can visit the Sweet Pea CSA Google Group to send a message to all members requesting a shift swap.

If you're not able to find a swap, please be sure to contact the Core Team or Site Manager as soon as possible:  sweetpeacsa@gmail.com
