Classification 1 (open subject).  Monochrome prints, maximum size 40 x 50 cm: any photograph containing shades of only one colour.  If toning is carried out it must be over the total photograph - partial toning or the addition of one extra colour is not accepted in a monochrome section.

Classification 2 (open and set subjects).  Colour prints, maximum size 40 x 50 cm: any photograph other than a monochrome print.  It includes a monochrome print that has been partially toned or had colour added.

All prints must be mounted: the Mount is not to exceed 40 x 50 cm.  Thickness of the Mount must not exceed 7 mm.  Any entry exceeding these dimensions will be disqualified. Framed prints are ineligible for entry into any competition.

Classification 4 (open subject only). Digital Slides. Unless alternative arrangements are made, entries are to be forwarded to Vi Blenkinship

Members may enter two monochrome prints, two open colour prints, two set-subject colour prints, two open slides, two set-subject slides, and two digital slides.

Images submitted must be the member’s own work but may be commercially processed or computer printed. However the images must be from a photographic original whether it is film or digitally based. There will be no competition in a sub-section of a classification unless there are a minimum of three entries in that section. In the event of an entry which appears to infringe any of the competition rules, the Competition Director’s decision is final (In consultation with other committee members if necessary).

General Viewing: Members are invited and encouraged to bring along Prints and or Slides or other examples of their work (including digital slideshows) to show at club meetings. Please Note: Any such work will only be shown if time permits. The committee reserves the right to change the dates, venues, content etc of the programme if necessary. Members will be notified of any such change at club meetings and in the newsletter.
