Characters: The King, Nightingale
Best Part/synopsis : There lived a King in China. He had great wealth. There was a huge forest near the King's palace.
Every day, a Nightingale came to the forest and sang sweet songs daily. Her song was so merry that anyone who passed by the forest, got lost in her singing. One day, the King saw the Nightingale perched on the branch of a tree near his bed. The Nightingale started his song and the King admired losing his soul to the pretty voice. After some time, she got tired and flew away.
The King announced at the court that he wanted a Nightingale who would sing for him and obey his commands. One day, the King received a parcel from Japan which contained Nightingale made of gold and silver. The beautiful nightingale sang continuously to please the King. While singing, the Nightingale's part broke and it could sing no longer. People from all corners were called to repair the Nightingale but they could not and failed. The King was so use to the singing of the bird that he became ill due to the absence of the Nightingale.
When the Nightingale in the forest, heart about the King's illness, it flew to the palace and started singing merrily. The King got happy and recovered slowly from his illness. He got completely cured. The Nightingale sang every day and the King lived happily ever after.
Moral : Artificial things cannot take space of real things. |
