The Southern Vermont Broadband Cooperative is dedicated to providing inexpensive high-speed wireless internet access to the residents of Stamford Vermont. The cooperative is not-for-profit. Human capital comes from members who contribute their time to install receivers and maintain the network.. Monetary capital comes from the fees paid by members ($40 per month), grants, and contributions. Members pay an installation fee. Members pay nothing for the radio receivers the coop installs except for a one-time installation fee of $40.
