QRP

First of all QRP radio is Green Radio!
You are invited to qrp operation. QRP means low power (PEP 1 to 10W).
QRP is: Litlle radio big fun! Low profile amateur radio. Green. It's skill not power. And many-many more.
QRP do more with less.
Isn't QRP amazing?

Digimodes or cw, the perfect way to qrp!

I enjoy working qrp, especially portable very much - you never know how far a qrp signal can travel! (have a look: http://www.athnet.ampr.org/~sv1uy/articleRADCOM.html ). So, get your portable equipment and walk/climb that mountain, or go to that island (interesting read: http://www.k2kw.com/6y0aqrp/).

It's not necessary to have enough time to go out and work the dx. Sometimes 15 minutes is enough. See how Jim W1PID managed to work the dx:

Among others also S.O.T.A. activities recommended

The Yaesu FT-817 is a perfect companion for my qrp /p operations.
Below a very interesting military bag adopted for 817 by my friend SV1EIX

this bag is also convinient for rover operations
(rovers are that rare breed of operator that operate mobile to help activate areas that normally aren't very active).

You can make many DX contacts working QRP (1 - 10W) or QRPp (1W and below!). If you do not believe that, pse search the internert with the QRPP term or visit JQ2UOZ site and see the video:
