Schedule Overview by Quarter
The Standard Committee will review progress and provide guidance during each scheduled
Quarter 1 after April 2012 Committee Meeting (May - July 2012):
1. Alignment of Standard Language to extent practical
2. Review requirements and optional PLs for each tier across all categories
3. Decide how to address all suggestions provided by the Committee at the 2012 April Committee meeting that have not been addressed as part of items 1 and 2.
Quarter 2 after April 2012 Committee Meeting (August – October 2012):
1. Technical editor reviews and edits standard
2. Committee votes to release draft standard for Public Comment
3. Initiate Public Comment Period (60 days)
Quarter 3 after April 2012 Committee Meeting (November 2012 – January 2013):
1. Committee addresses public comments
2. Consider second public comment period if major changes are made as a result of initial public comment period
3. Standard forwarded to ANSI for promulgation as an American National Standard
Quarter 4 after April 2012 Committee Meeting (February – April 2013):
Marketing the use of completed standard
Note: Committee and subcommittee work on the standard will progress as rapidly as is practical so this work may proceed more quickly than the schedule shown here

Key Dates:
· March 5-7, 2012 - Working Group meets at Leonardo Academy offices in Madison, Wisconsin to convert Draft Sustainable Agriculture Standard from template format to narrative format
· March 8 – April 9, 2012 - Subcommittees continue work to refine and draft narrative draft standard for a review at annual meeting of Sustainable Agriculture Standard Committee
· April 16, 2012 - Updated working draft documents and reference guide of Sustainable Agriculture Standard will be provided to Sustainable Agriculture Standard Committee for review
· April 24-25, 2012 - Annual meeting of Sustainable Agriculture Standard Committee Meeting in Washington, D.C. where working draft will be discussed and reviewed by Committee

- This is an opportunity for Public to provide comments on all aspects of the draft standard
· Sustainable Agriculture Standard Committee addresses all public comments
· Sustainable Agriculture Standard Committee approves final version of standard to American National Standard Institute for promulgation as an American National Standard.
