Welcome to the Website for Sussex 24, the 2009 event of the year for Explorer Scouts in West Sussex! 12th/13th Sept 2009
So it starts!!! Planning and preparation is underway for this incredible event...
This event is aimed at Explorer Scouts in West Sussex and those young people who are Explorer age still attending Scout Troops. We will also be encouraging Young leaders who are not already part of an Explorer unit, to attend...
The event is simple!! The fun starts at 1pm on Saturday 12th September and ends 1pm on Sunday 13th.
With the assistance of the Warden at Broadstone Warren, we've managed to acquire the on-site activities, ALL OF THEM!!!, for two main activity sessions during this time, one on Saturday afternoon and the other on Sunday morning. In addition to main activity sessions we'll also be supplying a smaller number of activities outside these periods...
The plan will be simple! if you want have a go at it! you can.... no tickets! no pre-booking.. turn up and queue!
In addition to West Sussex Explorers, we are also asking any of the East Sussex Units if they wish to join us!! As always it's more the merrier on this type of event..
On the Saturday night we'll be adding to the action and adventure with large scale wide games!, a party, hopefully including a live band as well as a Disco! and a chance for you all to really enjoy yourselves and chill out!
All sounds good.... but what's it gonna cost you??
Well this is the simple part.... The cost for the event will be £25.00 per head, this includes your camp fees, ALL activities, event party on Saturday night and a T-shirt and Badge for you're trouble..
What's not included??
The only other cost to you will be your food..... How you go about arranging food is your choice.. if you are a unit attending, central catering within your unit is the most obvious choice, however you may wish to sort yoursleves out... the choice is up to you! There will of course be refreshments available during the camp from the Broadstone Store on site... and also a couple of vending machines.

For you.. the only thing you need to worry about is making sure you get your unit on board!!! and this is really easy, simply print off the Application of interest from the documents page of this site and return it to us ASAP.. then we'll do the rest!! once this has come into us, we'll send you out a formal application pack and booking form for you to complete, this pack will contain all the details you need to make sure you're sorted and ready to party!
For us.. There is so much to do!! each week we anticipate adding more excitement and adventure to this event, so it's your job to keep an eye on this site and check out any new additions.
