The Project of Hope was first launched in 2002 by HKPASS. The objective of this project is to help children in China to improve their English. Through organising this project, we hope to play a part in helping these children improve their living and education standards. In addition, we hope to faciliate a cultural exchange.
"Plant the seed of education, Sow a seed of hope"
The motto of Project of Hope sums up what this project is all about in two simple phrases. This is a flagship of HKPASS, which involves the organization of a one-week volunteering trip to rural China in September each year, with our members teaching English to underprivileged children in a designated local school. It is our goal each year to nurture the children’s interest in learning English as well as to raise their appreciation towards the importance of education and to increase their exposure to the outside world.
