I hope you all are enjoying this season having colorful leaves around. People in Japan say that fall is for sports, appetite and reading. It is because the weather in fall is usually perfect for those activities. Take advantage of it and have fun! Thank you for purchasing Daikon (Japanese Radish) last week. We are so happy to be able to deliver fresh Daikon to you too. The Daikon are carefully grown by Mr. and Mrs. Nakamoto, who are a very warmhearted couple, that live on a farm in Aldergrove. Their passion for growing vegetables is great which is why the taste of their products is exceptional. Big thanks to the Nakamoto family. And there is one more piece of good news to share with you. The grandmother of Kent who goes to Sakura-gumi, kindly donated her time and efforts to make Takuan (pickled japanese radish) to fundraise for our school. I personally tried it for supper and it tasted wonderful! Special thanks to Mrs.Tsuyuki, and thank you parents for supporting Surrey Japanese School! Make sure to wash your hands and gargle after you come home from outside. We would love to see you healthy and smiling! The Newsletter on our homepage has been updated.
