Touched by the Fall...

Stillwater,Oklahoma,21st of October,2009!I sit down to write something for my readers & all that comes to my mind are the colors of Fall that seem to drape Nature all around.

So quietly have they become a part of the Nature that I love, that I did not even notice them peeping out of the leaves…until yesterday, the pink in one of the trees by the Classroom Building suddenly caught my eye. All this time, I was seeing & yet not seeing! How do I explain my obliviousness to this beautiful changeover in my friend? Quite an analogy in how we sometimes so much consider our dear ones a part of us that we often forget to notice the silent transformations that continually take place in them…if I were to draw the analogy a little further into, the mother who sees her child growing in front of her eyes, yet is surprised one day to have her child stand in front of her as a mature individual!

And today, as I walked down from our University, I absorbed in the beauty of the colors all around me! I could not lose out on anymore of this journey that is blossoming into something more beautiful by the day. Even now, as I look out of the window, all I can exclaim is, “You look so beautiful!” Reader, you may be wondering why so much of this personal deliberation in this editor’s note. Well, I confess: I can’t help it…I am overwhelmed!

Just as the Fall is bringing alive the beauty in color, let us too manifest the goodness within us in our day-to-day lives, with something just as simple as a smile, a kind word, a helping hand…they will not take much of our time but they can work wonders in their own ways. All these may seem to you just ordinary truths; however these simple truths have the power to transform lives!

…to be mentioned: amongst the simple truths mentioned above, do also strike a friendship with Nature and your life will seem several notches more beautiful.
