because right speech takes more than just noble silence

Traditional Buddhism is the tradition of equality. Buddha is a revolutionist for the democratic society and equality in the world for more than 2500 years ago.

Bhikkhuni is one of the main parts of the Shanga activity in the society around the world.

It is such a surprise to know that Thervavada nuns in some countries have been prohibited to be fully ordained as a Bhikkhuni. At the present moment, a historical event happened in Western Australia for Buddhism in general and specifically  for Bhikkhuni, that is, the full ordination of four nuns to become a Bhikkhuni under the guidance and acceptance of Bhante Ajahn Brahmavamso and Bhante Ajahn Sujato.

I would like to share my happiness and congratulations to the four new Bhikkhunis.

I would like to express my respect to Bhante Ajahn Brahmavamso and Bhante  Ajahn Sujato for his recognition, acceptance, determination and belief in the full ordination of Bhikkhuni in the Theravada forest tradition.

I strongly believe that the recent Bhikkhuni ordination held in Western Australia is not only the first step, but it will spark for more Bhikkhuni ordinations of nuns, to come in the world.

Where there is a nun, then there is a Bhikkhuni ordination.
