Theravada Buddhism should be practiced according to the rules of the Lord Buddha. He was one of the greatest teachers who preached on equality and therefore those traditions should be continued. I strongly feel that Bikkhunis should be able to achieve/do anything that a Bikkhu could practice and achieve. After all there is no separate Nirvana for the males and a different one for the females.
