Project at a Glance:This site is dedicated to home automation that I'm making for my home.
I have idea to make automation system that will include;
- Lights control.
- Microclimate control.
- Smoke & fire detectors.
- Motion detectors.
- Multiroom audio for 3 or 4 zones.
- Control from several android tablets.
Project Objectives All automation is based on SIEMENS S7-1200 controllers with built-in MODBUS TCP/IP. I have one android panel built-in wall and one portable. Both will share same software that I will make myself. Since I'm quite a PRO with S7, the biggest challenge is with android. Multiroom audio is based on Western Digital WDTV media players. At the end I should be able to do following from tablet.
- Monitor and adjust temperatures in each zone.
- Manipulate lights individually and set scenarios.
- Select music/video content for each multiroom zone or for all of them.
- Monitor fire and security in home.
- Get automated SMS/E-mail messages in case of emergency.
- Be able to remotely monitor my home.
