Beaty Grove, now living in Delhi, India  Hello there. My name is Beaty Grove. I run a small tour company which specialises in tailor made tours of India and neighbouring countries, drawing a clientele from around the world through word of mouth recommendations. Shantha and Ramani's house in Ranna was mentioned to me by a friend of a friend, who had stayed with them in the past. In 2007 I was visiting Sri Lanka with a small group and we called in there a couple of times. We were so impressed with Shantha, his family, the accommodation, the food and all the other extras that he offered that I added it to my own website (see http://india-csartours.com/aspecialplace.aspx. ) and I regularly recommend it to clients.  Shantha and Ramani and their children outside their house near Ranna Shantha and Ramani are beautiful people and their children are little darlings. They offer accommodation in their home - rebuilt a few kilometers inland following the tsunami, or in a cabana near their restaurant rebuilt 300 meters back from the beach. They provide good home-cooked food. There is good snorkelling and surfing at the beach and they are not far from the fishing village of Hambantota, the Turtle Sanctuary at Rekawa, and Yala National Park. |
