Hello!  Welcome to the E-Portfolio of Sunny Crawley.

I'm currently a graduate student working toward a Ph.D. in biology at Virginia Tech.  My research interests include molecular phylogeny of flowering plants, and molecular studies of the chloroplast gene matK.  My teaching experience includes teaching introductory laboaratory classes to freshman students including biology majors, non-majors and honors students as well as teaching a laboratory that accompanies a plant taxonomy course.  These courses have required varried amounts of involvement on my part spanning from monitoring students as they perform general experiments to planning, preparing, and implementing an entire cirriculum.  The purpose of this website is to help you get to know me better.  I've included links for my CV, a syllabus for the course I'll be teaching in the coming semester, and my teaching philosophy as well as a page with my contact information.  Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have.

This website is a work in progress, please check back again soon to get the most up to date information.  Thanks!
