The Western Massachusetts Writing Project is a local site of the National Writing Project and is affiliated with the English Department and College of Humanities and Fine arts at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Claymation Movie Camp

The Claymation Movie Camp was part of the middle school enrichment program at Smith Vocational Agricultural High School in Northampton. During a week in July, fifteen middle school students came together to learn about the techniques of stop-motion animation. The camp began with some simple stick figure animation and then shifted to using webcams, microphones and fun twists on fairy tales. The camp was facilitated by Kevin Hodgson and Tina Browne, with help from Maria Cahillane.
