During this program, volunteers will
facilitate small reading groups for the participants who will be grouped by
reading level. The program participants will be incoming first through fifth
grade students. They will participate in 45 minute reading groups; and they will be
grouped with students on similar reading levels who are available at the same
time as they are. Each student will be assessed through a running record before
entering the program and after his or her last lesson (the data will be used in
the program’s self evaluation).
