Called by the Wind: A Sisterhood of Seekers is a gathering of intellectual women who practice non-hierarchical, intuitive, mystical-shamanic witchcraft under the direction of the Goddess Herself. We find ourselves here because we have longed for intelligent, open discussion and the exchange of knowledge with others like ourselves, deep and honest reflection paired with positive criticism and feedback, the sharing of quality resources for study, and a non-judgmental, empathetic sisterhood of support as we progress toward that which we seek.
We come from all walks of life and life experiences, from many different regions, backgrounds, orientations, and philosophies. Our strength lies in our differences. We value the constant pursuit of knowledge, recognize that Truth is not the same for everyone, feel that being uncertain or doubtful is nothing to be ashamed of, and are comfortable with our less-than-straightforward journeys. We trust in Her guidance.
We don't draw down the Goddess because we know She is always present in each of us. We don't have spells or recipes to trade. We won't be discussing the newest popular 'teen witch' books that arrived at the superstore today. We know how the moon looks and what season it is by glancing out our windows rather than consulting a 'witchy' datebook. We don't care what your favorite color is or what star sign you were born under. We have more important things on our minds and actions to accomplish.
We are Seekers. We are called by the wind. We willingly go where She calls us, together or apart, for a day, a season or a lifetime.
We are currently accepting members. We require an application / interview. Being new to witchcraft / paganism will not necessarily disqualify you. Being experienced will not necessarily guarantee you get in. We prefer college-educated adults or college-bound young adults, but will consider all.
