I put out my first set of poems in 1964. I called Guns of the West. The next was Hochelaga in 1970. A poetic community urged on by b.b.and others developed a lot of poetry readings. We raved out heads out. In 1969 I self-published Practical Knowledge at a Canada Council funded artists centre called "Intermedia". A copy used to be in the Vancouver Public Art Gallery.

First book with ISBN number Westerns (1975) Air Press, Bertrand La Chance a collection of previous books. Lost Language (1982) ed. Daphne Marlatt and Ingrid Klassen by Coach House Press, Toronto, Ontario, another collection of new and old. Mona made a beautiful chapbook for me, Fire in the Cove (2001). In the 90's I self published Lac Lake, Boatload to Atlantis and Styx on my new printer and computer. Rolf Maurer at New Star Books published Backup to Babylon in 2006 and Subway Under Byzantium including smaller collections in 2008. Have been planning a new collection but get sidelined.
