Meghan Sullivan (Home)

Assistant Professor, Philosophy Department University of Notre Dame

Research: My research is primarily in analytic metaphysics and topics where it overlaps with logic, semantics, and epistemology.  Lately I have been working on different ways to formalize reasoning about change over time.  I tackle some tense logic problems left by the founder of contemporary presentism, Arthur Prior.  And I argue that all change over time should be understood as a particular species of property change.  I'm also interested in the philosophy of religion, especially the problem(s) of evil and the semantics of divine name words.

Teaching: In Spring 2012, I am leading a graduate seminar on Time in Metaphysics and Logic. Fall 2012, I will be teaching our Proseminar for graduate students and a section of Honors Intro.
