This webpage contains songs written from July 4th to October 1st, 2008, as part of the 50/90 challenge.
"This is a group whose purpose is to challenge members to write 50 songs
in 90 days. Between July 4 and October 1 of any year, in the company of
others, you can engage in some harmless songwriting mayhem. The prize
is the pride in writing songs that may never have been written otherwise." - from the 50/90 homepage.

Song 4: Taking a Break
I cannot tell a lie. This song is the product of sheer and utter laziness. Instead of learning to create my own music on GarageBand, I spent far too much time fiddling around with loops making this song. That being said, it's the first song of mine that actually has a demo so far, and the ending (you'll know the part I mean when you hear it) is something I'm particularly fond of. Enjoy!

Song 5: Writer's Block (collaboration with Tim Wille)
This was really exciting for me; I've never had anyone set my lyrics to music before. And luckily I was in very good hands.

song 9: porcelain garden
So I tried to make a demo of this song and failed miserably. I'm at a loss as to what to do with it.
I am totally digging these lyrics, though, even if I have no idea how
they should sound. it's amazing that just two words strung together can
germinate for a few hours and blossom into a fully-formed story. pun
intended.
[EDIT] The not-nearly-as-clueless-as-me Josh Belville recorded a lovely demo of this.
