'Aldeburgh' limited edition 250 signed prints by David Kirk
In 2003, artist David Kirk was commissioned by the House of Lords Arts Commission to produce images of the British landscape, based upon travel posters of the 1930s. The paintings were to be hung in the newly acquired 30s style extension to the House of the Lords, Fielden House. Two works were chosen, one of Aldeburgh in Suffolk. the other of Stogumber in Somerset. The first edition of 250 signed prints was taken from 'Aldeburgh'. Only a few are now available from a very successful print run. However, 'Southwold' and 'Walberswick' were later added, again in limited editions of 250 signed by the artist. All of them can be found at the Gallery at Snape Maltings. The images have also been reproduced as cards and postcards by The Orwell Press. David Kirk is a regular exhibitor at The Rona Gallery and also at The Flying Colours Gallery. Other images can be viewed at Golden Apple, David Kirk's website.
