PMI Press Release includes SDPM

November, 2009 - Peter Mello wins the Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Award for "his outstanding contributions to the practice of the project management profession and his demonstration of leadership and initiative while advancing project management concepts, techniques, practices and theories".

For the event the press release  says "[Peter]  is also a consultant in project and portfolio management, emphasizing risk and scheduling management with the application of Success Driven Project Management methodology. Mello develops restrictions-based scheduling and provides project management training and consulting services to governmental and industrial organizations in Brazil".

Investments in Oil & Gas

It happened in Rio on October 28th (2009) an event to discuss probable means of developing investments in Oil & Gas in Brazil.
Peter Mello presented (in Portuguese) a paper demonstrating the importance of SDPM to deal with risk scenarios to a public with representatives of Transpetro, Petrobras and many service providers in the Oil Industry.
His presentation followed one made by Leonardo Feitosa, from Petrobras, where leassons learned from Urucu/Manaus Project were presented.
Mello's paper will be posted in the Portuguese section of SDPM World in a couple of days.

Risk Management and SDPM

In the Portuguese pages it was included references to an event with IQPC regarding Corporative Risk Management.
The event happened in August 2007 in São Paulo, with an interesting presentation linking project management risk to corporative risk management.

Published a book about Spider in Portuguese

The book "Spider Project: Metodologia e Qualidade em Gerenciamento de Projetos" is the first book in Brazil to bring a chapter about Success Driven Project Management. The book has its own website at http://www.spiderproject-book.com
