Random trash and more.

Welcome to the page of an avid Australian photographer, artist, musician and computer g33k .

Photography

Photography is something i've been interested in for about 3 years.

Here is my kit:

  • Nikon D80
  • Nikon FE10 (not pictured)
  • Nikkor AF-S DX VR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED
  • Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8 D
  • Nikon SB-600 Speedlight (not pictured)
  • Slik Sprint Pro 3 Way (not pictured)

(Yes that is The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain on the right!)

What do I shoot? Anything, though I prefer portraits over landscapes.

Art

I don't draw much these days, but when I do, it's usually anime stuff. There's also the photos.

Music

I have 3 keyboards (one of them being a M-Audio Axiom 49) and 5 guitars (which I hardly touch these days).

I usually use FL Studio, and occasionally Ableton Live.

I hate the question "What kind of music do you make/play?". Short answer: non-pop/hip-hop music. Long answer: ambient, trance, dance, electro, house, rock and soundtracks.

Computers

This is something I have stuck with since I like 6 (or even earlier?). The other 3 interests cross-over into this; for example, I do post-processing for my photos in Photoshop/Lightroom, turn my drawings into Vector art via Adobe Illustrator and compose my music in FL Studio.

The 'rig' *wipes thick layer of dust off the top of the case*:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
  • 4GB Corsair DDR2 RAM
  • Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3P
  • Seagate 500GB, Seagate 250GB and Western Digital 250GB harddrives
  • Two AOC 416V 24" wide LCD monitors side by side
  • Galaxy GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB
  • Logitech X-510 5.1 (It's pretty crap so I chucked the center and rear speakers)
  • Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro soundcard
  • Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Web Design/Development

I enjoy web design and I am proficient at XHTML 1.0 (Strict) and CSS Level 2.1. I can use JavaScript, but I only know the basics. I have played with CSS Level 3.

Google Page Creator sucks because I can't use my own CSS or anything. The HTML editor reverts my markup to plain ol' HTML. Grr.

Finally, the world would be a better place without Internet Explorer. Be sensible and use something like Firefox, Opera or Chrome instead.
