![]() Welcome to the Cub Scout Pack 8 - Founded on December 15, 1944, Pack 8 has been a chartered pack by St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for more than 65 years. Pack 8 meets every fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria at St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School. Pack 8 is in Huron Trails District of the Great Sauk Trail Council of Michigan, and is part of Boy Scouts of America. There is a Boy Scout Troop 8, also chartered by St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Pack 8 has earned Pope Paul VI National Catholic Quality Unit for 2009. This is our 2nd time to earn this award, previously earning this in 2007. We are the first and only Unit ever to do so in the Diocese of Lansing! Since 1930, Cub Scouting has offered its family-based program to boys in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the 10 purposes of Cub Scouting:
