Mission Statement

            The mission of Sts. Peter & Paul School, a Roman Catholic Pre-Kindergarten to Pre-College Preparation educational institution, is to ensure that its students demonstrate the mastery of defined skills and knowledge that will empower them to be creative, productive, responsible, critically thinking, self-directed individuals who respect and appreciate diversity.  This will be accomplished through excellence in teaching and learning in partnership with family, church and community, and the creation of a safe, nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment.

Philosophy

            Sts. Peter & Paul School, located on St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, is a Catholic educational community espousing the dignity and worth of its students in order to foster in them a Christian sense of values by which to think, judge and act.  We believe in developing each individual’s potential for promoting quality and integrity within society.  We provide our students with a foundation in a diverse curriculum of religious studies, the social and natural sciences, mathematics and the humanities so that they might learn to reason critically and live effectively in the world they will inherit.  We urge students to continually aspire toward human fulfillment within the community and to accept responsibility as active citizens.

            Sts. Peter and Paul School is a community: all students with diverse backgrounds are welcome to attend.  We give witness to the ecumenical movement in the Catholic Church as well as to the complexity of our local environment by promoting the spiritual, intellectual and social development of all students in order that they might make a positive contribution to their communities.
