About us

The St. Thomas-St. John Library Association (STSJLA) was chartered in 1978 in pursuit of the following mission: to promote and provide quality library services, and advance librarianship and information science within and beyond the profession.  Our sister organization, the St. Croix Library Association, together with ours, comprise the Virgin Islands Library Association--serving as the local chapter of the American Library Association.

Our membership is currently comprised of approximately 25 information professionals in the following sectors throughout the district of St. Thomas and St. John: archives; public, academic and school libraries.
