By the time the 1930 Cenus hits, Sylvester is a widow, so Illinois Holford has died 1920-1930; from their son, William Frank Stroup’s marriage license, his mother's maiden name is printed out  “Illinois Holford”.  Web research shows that it may be Elonora Halford, or Holford.  From the 1900 Census, it is inferred that they were married in 1886/1897, and from the 1930 Census, (Sylvester) Frank was married 28 years old when first married which would be 1895; so, it is most likely that they were married 1886 (maybe after Albert was born), but before Sylvester's birthday in December.
