SYM is funded by financial team members. The charts at right show the adopted budget and progress to date. (See the notes at the bottom of the page for further explanation.) Most financial team members give on a monthly or other regular basis through Covenant Presbyterian Church using one of the procedures given below. You will receive end of year reports and tax receipts from the church. All funds delivered to Covenant Presbyterian Church and designated for "Street Youth Ministry" are made available to SYM for use in ministry. The church does not charge SYM fees for this service. You can give through the church in several different ways, using whatever method best suits your needs. For each you must specify "Street Youth Ministry" on all check or payment memo fields. Please do not specify "Terry Cole" as the benefactor unless you wish to specify a personal gift.
Notes on chart: (1) Like most charities, a substantial portion of giving occurs during the Christmas season. This is reflected in SYM's fund raising plan. (2) The funding goal for the year is set so that the ministry can fully fund itself. This percentage (or fraction) of the goal to be raised each month is shown in the first graph, along with progress to date. (3) Because the year's donations are "back loaded" in December, the ministry budget creates a negative cash flow through the year. This means that the ministry relies on savings from the missionary, Terry Cole, whenever expenses exceed donations. The planned amount is shown cumulatively in the second graph, along with the actual amount to date. |
