Bishop's Hull church is ideal for a funeral service. It is just five minutes from the crematorium and burial ground.
We encourage the use of the church for funerals for anyone who lives in the village, whether they come to church or not. A church funeral enables family and friends to take part in the service, display photos, light candles, arrange flowers etc. St Peter and St Paul is light and welcoming and a funeral here is individual and provides the time and space bereaved people need. After the service the deceased is taken to the crematorium. The family can choose to follow for the two minute committal in the crematorium chapel or, as is becoming the norm, the committal takes place at the church gates.
There is no burial ground at the church. All burials are in the grounds of the crematorium. |
