Adult Choir

About the Adult Choir

Who are we?

St Peter's Adult Choir is a choir of about 20 keen amateur singers, aged between 15 and 80+ and based at St Peters church in Bishops Waltham.  No auditions necessary.

What do we do?

Sing! We rehearse each Friday during term time, from 6:45pm – 8pm.  We sing every Sunday morning in church and for certain other sung services, weddings and some funerals.

What kind of music do we sing?

Hymns, psalms, Taize chants, anthems from many different eras, praise songs.

Why do we do it?

We get a great deal of pleasure out of singing together. We are a friendly, diverse group of people who care about each other and enjoy each other's company. We hope that our music also enhances worship for others.

Money Matters

It doesn't cost anything to be a member of the choir.  We buy or rent music occasionally. We have bought some new robes recently (as we have had lots of new members!) We will be investing in some new music storage folder and boxes soon.  The October “Songs of Praise” helped raise funds to cover much of this. We hope to repeat this at least annually.

If you live in or near Bishops Waltham and are interested in joining the Adult Choir, please contact the choir director, Fleur Wainwright.
