St. Paul’s Church Church and Hall Rental Policy June 11, 2010
PURPOSE: To promote and encourage greater community usage of the hall and church.
RESPONSIBILITY: The policy will be administered by the facilities rental manager, reporting to the property committee of Parish Council. The manager will screen and assess all rental requirements and make decisions in accordance with said policy and will make monthly reports to the property warden.
RATES: Main Hall: · ½ day - $ 60.00 · Full day - $ 100.00
Kitchen: · Snacks - $ 20.00 · Cooking - $60.00
Chapel: · ½ day - $30.00 · full day - $50.00
Weddings (in the chapel): · $100.00 + $25.00 cleaning
Classrooms: · ½ day - $15.00 · full day - $25.00
Gym: · ½ day - $40.00 · full day - $60.00
Sanctuary: · Charity - no fee, i.e. fundraiser for replacement burned out home · NGO - $100.00 + 10% of profit + $40.00 cleaning fee · All others $100.00 plus 20% of profit + $40.00 cleaning fee
Common sense will prevail in negotiating the fees for NGO’s. All groups wanting Saturday evening usage for concerts etc. will pay a fee of $200.00 + appropriate % of profit + $40.00 cleaning fee.
Weddings (Church): · NO CHARGE (for members) for sanctuary, there is a $40.00 cleaning fee. This does not include fees as prescribed in the wedding package obtained from the office (892-1691). · All others: $500.00 + $40.00 cleaning. This does not include fees as prescribed in the wedding package obtained from the office. (892-1691).
FEES: All fees are to be paid on or before the date of usage, unless suitable alternate arrangements have been approved.
SOUND SYSTEM/INSTRUMENTS: The sound system is installed in the sanctuary and available for use. Users are encourages to bring in their own equipment as well. The tuning of the piano or organ is at the expense of the renting group with tuner to be approved by the church music director.
RESPONSIBILITY OF GROUPS: All groups using this facility are expected to: · return room to original set-up · leave kitchen in a clean and tidy condition · ensure all garbage is properly sorted as per waste watch requirements, otherwise group must take away own garbage. · take appropriate steps to prevent damage and to report any damage or concerns immediately to the facilities manager · respect the nut-free/ scent free policy when using the facilities · refrain from alcoholic beverages unless appropriate arrangements have been made · refrain from food and drink in the sanctuary unless special arrangements have been made. · when using kitchen for selling food , must make appropriate arrangements for special licensing.
