Chapter Meetings

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month,  7:00 pm, at the Hamline Midway Library, 1558 West Minnehaha Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55104.

Meetings feature guest speakers and/or topical discussions. Our meetings are an opportunity for mom to get away for some adult discussion (infants to four months welcome) as well as to talk about the challenges and triumphs of parenting. Meeting topics for 2009 include:

  • July - Mom law
  • August - School choices
  • September -  Grandparent relationships
  • October- Updating your resume.
  • November - TBA
  • December - Holiday party

Book Club

Our popular Book Club meets the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm.  Selections for 2009 include:

  • January  - Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert
  • February - Blindness by Jose Seramago
  • March - Speaking of Faith by Krista Tippet
  • April - Self by Yann Martel
  • May - Snow Flower and Secret Fan by Lisa See
  • June - Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan

Walking Club

 

Exercise with friends! We meet Fridays at 10:15 am for a walk around a local lake. Kids welcome! (Location moved indoors for winter).

 

Theatre Club

 

The Twin Cities area is bursting with cultural activities. From theater to lectures to opera, we aim to expand our minds and horizons. Events are planned throughout the year. Dates and venue vary according to performance schedules.

Mom's Night Out

Even moms need a time-out once in a while. Get away from it all with monthly Mom's Night Out activities. From movies to mayhem. Restaurants to game night. It's about fun and bonding.

Kid's Day Out

 Sometimes, an outing with the kids is just more fun with friends. Throughout the year we plan activities to keep us all feeling connected. Outings include:

  • Parks and outdoor activities
  • Museums and zoos
  • Concerts
