Babysitter Training

The Stoughton Youth Commission will be holding a Babysitter Training Course.  We are excited to meet and train enthusiastic young people ages 12 and up.  You will have the opportunity to learn how to identify potential safety problems, safety and safe play, basic child care and much more!

 
Next session will be held on November 7, 14, 21,                & 28, 2011
from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM   
This course will help prepare you for babysitting by:

 Training in CPR,
Learning about safety problems and prevention,
Safe and fun play,
Basic child care,
Supervising and handling young children,
Basic behavior techniques.                         
Note:  C.P.R. Training -
C.P.R. training Monday December 5, 2011 from 3:00 PM- 5:00 PM and will be held @ the SYC/COA Building
 
All of these topics and much more will be presented in a fun,
interactive way using role-plays and real life situations!!
 
NOTE:  Space is limited to 12 youth per session.
Registration is REQUIRED to hold a spot for each child!
There is a $20.00 fee with this program to cover the cost of the manuals and supplies.
Please fax, mail or drop off your child's registration form.

C.P.R. Training -  Are given by the Stoughton Fire Department in conjunction with the babysitter training.
There is a $20.00 fee for the Babysitter Training Program

Group Leaders
A variety of individuals in the community including; counselors, faith based members, police, school resource officers, probation officers, and guidance counselors have been trained as leaders. Each leader has completed 13 hours of the program and has experience working with children and families in the community.
