She suggested defining your purpose and then, "just start writing." If you're having trouble putting words on paper, spend five minutes first thing in the morning when the creative processes are most active. It will be a start. ![]() SCGS Helps Grow Some Family Trees This Fall At Ames Public Library Help Sessions - Read More Our SCGS Summer Sessions met with 45 persons to help them begin or continue their family history research. We have decided to extend this program this Fall for 7 weeks once a week on Mondays. We began the service on Monday, Sept. 28. And we plan two volunteers each session to help Ames Library patrons on a first come first served basis. Dates for this Fall are: Mondays Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26, Nov. 2 and 9 from 1 - 3 pm at Iowa/ Genealogy Lounge area at Ames Public Library. Appointments are available for those not able to make it on Mondays by emailing us at our email address <storygenes@gmail.com> with a short note of what you need to know so we can assign someone to help you.
