Hi Liz,

I wanted to share with you some of the fruits of your efforts.  I was invited to visit Stormy by his new parents and I am so happy to report that he is thriving!  The angst in his face was gone and he was completely relaxed.  Please enjoy his happiness, as you were instrumental in helping him find a home.

After the very first night of feeding him, Stormy stayed on my front lawn no matter what time of night I would venture out to check on him.  Each and every time, the moment the front door opened, he would come running to me.  I would spend up to an hour, several times a night, petting and grooming him.  He loved the Furminator!
I would walk up and down the sidewalk in my neighborhood, Stormy always at my side.  Every so often, we would stop to relax under the moonlight.  Stormy would stretch out on his side, allowing me to rest my head upon his belly, listening to the beautiful sound of his purr.
When it would rain, I would open up the garage to give him shelter.  The moment the garage door would open he would race in, always coming to an exaggerated stop as if he just made it before the lightning would get him!  I brought him inside to my bedroom on two occasions to see if I could keep him there, but he wasn’t content behind closed doors.  I worried that might mean he wasn’t an indoor cat.
I took care of Stormy for almost a month, but on two consecutive nights, he appeared with scratch marks and bite wounds.  It was then that I asked the vet hospital to please help him – I was worried sick.  The vets/techs at the hospital love him so much that each night (early morning) when there are no customers, Stormy gets free run of the hospital.  If he sees a human standing by a counter, up he jumps… and down he plops, eager to receive the adoration befitting a cat of his undeniable charm.  He has proved to not only be an indoor cat, but prefers the comforts of a nice soft bed and food just a "meow" away.
One cute story the vets/techs relayed to me is that the only time Stormy complains is immediately after he uses the litter box.  Apparently he likes to keep a clean home and yells out to have the litter box immediately changed!  How can you blame him?!
I know that there is a hero for Stormy out there somewhere.  What I want that person to know is this – Stormy is Best Friend material.  You rescue him once, and he will rescue you back for the rest of his life.
