THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS
MEETS TWICE BEFORE SUMMER BREAK
The month of May brings flowers (we hope), and May also brings two more interesting topics to our Thursday Morning Bible Class. You won’t want to miss them. The first (May 10th) is a presentation from Professor Nolan Bremer, Emeritus, which is titled, “Who Put the Bible Together?” Nolan is well known to us at St. Michael’s, where he is an active member. He was also for many years the Librarian at CU. Presently he is the Archivist for the Northwest District and for Concordia University. He will answer some of the questions that surround this topic. For our second presenter we are pleased to host the president of Concordia University, Dr. Charles Schlimpert, who has agreed to lead the discussion on the challenging topic, “What makes a Christian University Unique?”
Dr. Schlimpert has been at Concordia for 29 years, during which time there have been many physical changes and much growth in the number of students. His topic will be presented on May 24th.
As usual, we meet in the Fellowship Room for coffee, conversation and prayer at 10:00 a.m. The presentation, questions and discussion will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m.
After May we will have a summer break until fall when we will begin a new series in September. Any suggestions for change or improvement can be addressed to Tom Zuch, Carol Wahlers or Bob Schmidt.
