St Marks welcomes the Baines Family
Mark and Jo Baines together with their children Sarah (3) and baby Alec (AJ) join us as student ministers this year. Mark (Bainesy) is studying in his fourth year at Moore Theological College. He has a passion for seeing young people grow in a trusting relationship with Jesus. He is also a former chef and a Rugby nut. Jo loves Rugby as well and enjoys sewing and loving and caring for Sarah and AJ. Please pray for them as they seek to love and serve all at St Marks.

On Sunday February 6, St Marks launched it's ministry year by considering what it means to respond as 'living sacrifices' to God's mercy we have receive in Jesus Christ. At all services the Focus on Service 2011 booklet and Involvement form were released. Everyone was asked to consider God's mercy, their SHAPE for ministry, and the comprehensive list of ministries in the booklet as they completed the Involvement form.
Have you considered how you might serve at St Marks?
Go to the Ministry at St Marks page to find out about the types of ministries at St Marks. You may also download the Focus on Service 2011 booklet and Involvement form from this page. |

Twice a year St Marks Freshwater run a Community Food Drive collecting food items for Anglicare's Street Outreach program. The Street Outreach program works with young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. In addition to providing for immediate needs such as food, blankets and clothing, Street Outreach workers offer advocacy, assistance and advice to help young people rebuild their lives.
The 2010 mid-year collection resulted in a record number of items being forwarded to Anglicare, some of which you can see in the photo
Thankyou Freshwater! |
