Welcome!
As pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson, Iowa, I welcome you to this special Internet site that helps us introduce a grand year of celebration in our parish. In 2009, we are celebrating our 100 years in our current building, which has the distinction of being the oldest church building in Jefferson. We also commemorate this being the 143rd year since the first Mass was celebrated in the town. And this summer has also brought my 50th jubilee of ordination to the priesthood. So, what a year for us! The people of St. Joseph have put together a celebration of all this that is spiritually meaningful, historically informative, educationally stimulating, and a whole lot of fun, too! This Internet site shares the schedule of upcoming events, which continue into autumn, and has follow-up coverage of our events in both photos and stories. Enjoy it, and please come visit and experience St. Joseph Church with us here in beautiful Greene County!
