The mission of St. Gregory's Parish is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the proclamation of our Catholic Faith to the people of Sitka, and to fully live out our Faith. 

As members of the Diocese of Juneau, we also join in upholding the Diocesan Mission Statement:

God of everlasting love and power,

you call each of us by name and bring us together

as your holy people.

Led by the Holy Spirit, formed as disciples

and sent as apostles,

we the Catholic Church of Southeast Alaska

embrace the call of Jesus, "to put out into the

deep for a catch": Duc in altum! (Lk. 5:4)

Rooted in prayer, we respond to your call to holiness by

reaching out to our sisters and brothers of diverse cultures,

scattered across the vast land and waters we call home.

Transformed by your ever-present grace,

as stewards of your gifts,

we proclaim your Gospel,

celebrate the sacraments,

serve those in need,

and invite all to know, love and follow Jesus Christ.

And to this we say, "Amen!"
