The private property ORV use issue continues to be on the table. We are still fighting to maintain our rights to operate our motorcycles and quads on our private property, and those rights are still at risk!!!

There will be a public meeting on March 29th at 9am in the Spokane County Public Works building (same place as the big public input meeting of last spring). This meeting is one in which each side of the Roundtable meeting members will present their arguments and compromises on this issue to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission will then report to the County Commissioners on what they see as the best solution to this problem. Keep in mind that the Planning Commission is very biased on this issue and wants strict regulation on ORV use.

Our stance in this presentation is as follows:

The only fair and appropriate solution to this problem is NO FURTHER REGULATION! Problem tracks need to be dealt with on an individual basis and blanket regulations on private property use in Spokane County is not a fair or appropriate solution.

A strong attendance at this meeting will help support and strengthen our cause and show the Planning Commission that we are not willing to back down and we will not compromise on this issue.

With dynamic weather conditions, expenses, and time constraints, we rarely get to ride very much as is.

We are willing to be reasonable and responsible with our neighbors, maintaining open lines of communication with them, and work with them to keep friendly respectful relationships that allow us to ride, yet heed their requests on certain occasions and times to allow their peaceful enjoyment.
