Board Members Directive
Leadership- is about identifying new ways to conduct ourselves, and our operational business functions. This includes our ability to challenge the traditional things we have been doing and finding new ways to work together that are innovative and cost effective. Leaders take risks, they inspire others and help create a “workplace” culture of “administrative” leadership that honors our foundations core values, motivates lasting commitment to excellence, achieves our mission, serves our clients, members and customers as well as one another. A culture of motivational leadership enables everyone to contribute according to their abilities and continue to develop personally and professionally.
Commitment- is what transforms a promise into reality. It is words that speak boldly of your intentions, and the actions which speak louder than words. It is making the time when there is none. It is coming through time after time after time, year after year. Commitment is the stuff character is made of; the power to change in the face of new challenges and the daily triumph of integrity over skepticism.
Integrity- is about always acting in ways that are consistent with high ethical standards both personally and professionally. People with integrity "walk their talk." They are mindful of their commitments with honor and compassion for those who count on them. They are honest, keep their promises and demonstrate their commitment to ethical values in all they say and do with great respect.
Respect -is about treating all people with dignity and in ways that recognize their intrinsic value. It also means accepting a responsibility for the wise stewardship of our operational funds and financial resources. Being respectful of others means breaking down the barriers between "we" and "they." It always involves honoring our differences and learning from the backgrounds, experience and insight of others for the greater good of those we strive to serve. Being respectful of our operational funds and financial resources means engaging in the “real world" business of carrying out our communications, media relations, sustainable growth marketing and fundraising strategies in ways that advance the primary goal of long term comprehensive service programs development and organizational growth.
