G-G-S Alliance Club

There is no doubt; we are living in a tough economic climate. The lines between the so called haves and have nots is blurred and so very difficult to clearly define. It is increasingly difficult for working healthy families in America to make ends meet and if we believe all the economist reports it will only become more and more challenging in the years to come.

For the chronically and/or the critically sick this economic climate becomes an ever increasing challenge for their families; an often unspoken battle between nutritiously adequate meals and life saving prescriptions, between home maintenance, repairs, the mortgage or rent and life saving health monitoting medical visits or insurance premiums and copays, between car repairs and car payments and accessing life saving treatment.

It is a specially daunting financial challenge for thyroid cancer patients, survivors, their financial supporters and caregivers because thyroid cancer warriors face unique long term medical needs that stretch far beyond the thyroid cancer treatment to life long health maintenance evaluations and psychosocial challenges not otherwise covered by many cancer support agencies.

But how can we help without doing without ourselves or stretching our business dollars beyond our fiscal capacity or cutting off one of our favorite charities in favor of another viturtally unknown group ?

Stevie JoEllie's Cancer Care Fund a Division of The Happy Angels Project Inc., a Clifton New Jersey based nonprofit has a simple cost effective win-win solution--- we are inviting everyone - families, self employed professionals, service industries, retail, professional services and corporate businesses to join the Groceries-Goods and Services Alliance Club to support our efforts to provide the underserved Thyroid Cancer Patient Survivor Family and Caregiver Community a helping hand.

The GGS Alliance Club will meet once a week to cut/share/exchange and/or provide discount coupons or free service vouchers/gift cards. Discount Coupons not placed with a participating club member will be distributed to our thyroid cancer community members (patient, survivor or caregiver).

Gift Cards or Service Vouchers will be exclusively distributed to our thyroid cancer community members.

We hope to be engage our community at large in the Discount Coupon exchange initiative, where they can help their families by obtaining discount coupons for the groceries, goods and services they need while creating an opportunity for our Thyroid Cancer Community Members to benefit from discount coupons they request for goods and services they need---

Professionals and business can contribute as little or as much as they are comfortable providing. Is that simple !

For example;

A landscapper may donate the maintenance of one yard a year or only once every six months.
A carwash can pledge a discount book for services or free carwash for a thyroid cancer patient.
A housekeeping service may pledge services one time. A plumber or carpenter may pledge labor.
A gas station may pledge a gas card or tune up. A taxi company may pledge a ride or bus card.
A law firm may pledge will, power of attorney or health care proxy form preparations.
A retailer may pledge special discounts or gift card for their location.
A restaurant may pledge a meal. A movie theater a night at the movies.
A barber or hairdresser a haircuts for a family. A spa salon a day at the spa.
A musician can pledge music lessons or concert tickets.
An artist can pledge an art class or painting.

The possibilities are endless--- we can make difference in the lives of thyroid cancer patients and families one gift at time.

Financial gifts are a beautiful thing no doubt-- but your time and your service can do so much more for everyone by giving you and the people you help the often forgotten and very special personal touch. Meet the people you are helping, see the difference you are making, become a part of the solutions money alone can't buy.
