Inspiring and challenging workshops for all learning abilities
I am a professional storyteller and performer with twenty years experience of telling tales and performing costumed characters in schools and heritage sites. My stories and characters are delivered with enthusiasm, conviction and a high degree of professionalism. My workshops offer engaging and challenging learning experiences and are suitable for all learning abilities. I have Enhanced CRB and am a member of Equity. 'As always you brilliantly combined information and entertainment. All the pupils are so impressed by the way you impersonate the different historical characters.' (Mrs Jenks, Kelly College Prep School) (Parent, Mawnan School, Cornwall) What's on offer? Costumed Characters Thought provoking and often challenging workshops offering first class characterisation and packed with information to support literacy strategies, such as Talking for Writing, and creative curricula. Click Costumed Characters for more information. Characters can also be commissioned for special events and study projects. For example:
'The
story you told as Julius was fantastic...your costume was perfect...our
children have learnt far more in one session with you than we could
possibly have taught them through other activities.' (KS1 Coordinator, Bruton Primary, Somerset) 'Thank you for coming todayand I hope you come back...because you were great with us.' (Pupil, West Monkton School) Storytelling for Schools I offer traditional storytelling sessions for whole school assemblies, year groups and individual classes. Sessions can be linked to study themes and are appropriate for Reception to Year 6. 'The children were absolutely fascinated by your stories and the way in which you told them...and how you conjured up images in their minds.' (North Petherwin School, Cornwall) 'As always the children loved the sessions and are already asking if you can come back again next year.' (Dunster First School, Somerset) |
