My name is Steve. I fly sports kites. Freestyle dual line Delta style kites, dual and quad line Power Kites, as well as kite buggying and single line kites. I just love it. "Kiting is Freedom" (Dean Parsons).

Kiting is now a high tech sport. Specialised design and materials, including carbon fibre, mylar, spectra and kevlar.

Power kites (they look like parachutes) can pull you along in a buggy at 80 kph, lift you into the sky or drag you along the beach. Safety is important as it can be a dangerous sport. Great for strength and fitness.

Dual line Delta freestyle flying is highly technical, light wind and light pull but requiring expert skill with hundreds of hours of practice required.

Good quality single line kites such as Delta's fly like a dream, stable, high lift, and a great relaxation for anybody, kids, adults, the elderly.

Sports Kiting is one of the healthiest , relaxing sports available. It gets you outside in the fresh air in all conditions and is great aerobic and sometime strength exercise.

Hope you enjoy some photo's and details of my kite collection.  On the rear page is a number of internet links to  kite information which you will no doubt find interesting.

Best wishes and enjoy !   Steve....

More of my kites can been seen on my Flickr page.
