Welcome! As a fourth-year doctoral student in clinical psychology at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), my primary research interests are in the field of developmental psychopathology. Specifically, I primary conduct research examining comorbid mental health problems and social functioning among children and adolescents with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and I am also interested in school-based interventions for ADHD-related difficulties. I am currently collecting data for my dissertation, which
examines
whether negative external and internal social information processing
attribution biases differentially relate to co-occurring oppositional
defiant/conduct disorder or anxiety symptoms in a sample of children
with ADHD, and in turn, whether these externalizing
and internalizing symptoms uniquely predict peer functioning domains of
exclusion and withdrawal. My dissertation research is funded by a
scholarship from the American Psychological Foundation/Council of
Graduate Departments of Psychology (APF/COGDOP)
and a grant from the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH). I have secondary interests in the interrelations of trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, and juvenile delinquency. Ultimately, I aim to conduct research that examines the prevalence, longitudinal risk and protective factors, and developmental outcomes associated with comorbid psychopathologies across clinical, school, and juvenile justice contexts, particularly given the relevance of this knowledge for informing effective treatment interventions. For further information regarding my research and clinical activities, see my curriculum vitae (CV), and please feel free to contact me with questions or to receive a copy of any of my publications. |
