I am currently Full Professor, Black Chair, and R. Means Davis Jr. Professor,  leading the Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Science at Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business.  My research focuses on household credit risk, and on the income risk and income dynamics of individuals and couples.

I have a bachelors degree from Princeton University (1998) and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University (2003), where my dissertation advisor was John Y. Campbell.

I have been an assistant professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (2003-2007) and at the Johns Hopkins University Department of Economics (2007-2011). I also served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Microeconomic Analysis in the Office of Economics Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury (2011-2012).
